Directions of use:

This kit offers an alternative way to install a split air conditioner when a proper vacuum pump isn't available. Follow these instructions to replace the vacuum pump section in the installation manual. Keep using the rest of the manual as it is.

1. Read safety instructions and wear protective gear.
2. Keep the metal can upright during use.
3. Switch off electrical power at the main breaker.
4. Connect copper pipes to the indoor unit as per the manual.
5. Connect only the gas side copper pipe to the outdoor unit's gas service valve.
6. Attach the purging kit hose to the outdoor unit's gas side service port.
7. Turn the flushing kit can tap valve clockwise until fully down.
8. Hear the flushing material flow, then close and reopen the tap valve in 5-second intervals until 2/3 of the can is used.
9. If no flow, adjust the hose connector depressor and repeat steps 5 - 7.
10. Connect the liquid side copper pipe to the outdoor unit.
11. Open the tap valve to release the remaining material, then disconnect the hose.
12. Check for leaks with soapy bubbles and repeat evacuation if needed.
13. Release remaining gas pressure and disconnect the hose.
14. Follow the equipment manufacturer's instructions for next steps.
