Directions of use:
This kit offers an alternative way to install a split air conditioner when a proper vacuum pump isn't available. Follow these instructions to replace the vacuum pump section in the installation manual. Keep using the rest of the manual as it is.
- Read safety instructions and wear protective gear.
- Keep the metal can upright during use.
- Switch off electrical power at the main breaker.
- Connect copper pipes to the indoor unit as per the manual.
- Connect only the gas side copper pipe to the outdoor unit's gas service valve.
- Attach the purging kit hose to the outdoor unit's gas side service port.
- Turn the flushing kit can tap valve clockwise until fully down.
- Hear the flushing material flow, then close and reopen the tap valve in 5-second intervals until 2/3 of the can is used.
- If no flow, adjust the hose connector depressor and repeat steps 5 - 7.
- Connect the liquid side copper pipe to the outdoor unit.
- Open the tap valve to release the remaining material, then disconnect the hose.
- Check for leaks with soapy bubbles and repeat evacuation if needed.
- Release remaining gas pressure and disconnect the hose.
- Follow the equipment manufacturer's instructions for next steps.
